What to Expect From Your First Visit
Your first visit to York Mills Family Dentistry will vary based on your need. We hope your first visit is for a Cleaning. We will get to know your dental history, provide consultation on your oral health, and assess issues to keep an eye out for.
If you visit us with an immediate dental need, your typical first appointment will feature a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Often, treatment can be offered the same day.
When you visit us for the first time, try to provide:
- Your referral slip
- A list of medications you are presently taking
- Any X-Rays from the past 6 months, if applicable
- Proof of your medical and/or dental insurance
Please note: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under eighteen years of age.
X-Rays
If your previous dentist has taken recent X-Rays (within 6 months), you may request that they forward these X-Rays to our office. If you have new presenting conditions, or emergency treatments are required, we may need to take new X-Rays to enable a proper diagnosis. We offer X-Rays in our York Mills Clinic.
