What are Crowns?
Crowns are a permanent cover applied to a tooth to save it from further damage and to prolong its life. Crowns are used when a tooth becomes heavily decayed, damaged, or cracked, and a filling is no longer enough to repair the damage.

A crown usually requires two appointments to apply. The first will include preparing the tooth and taking several molds and/or digital impressions used to create your custom crown. At the second appointment, your new crown will be carefully placed over the damaged tooth, and your dentist will ensure the spacing and bite are accurate so your new crown functions and feels just like your own natural tooth.
